Thanks everyone for the great comments on this one... I've taken the advice to get rid of the nasty papa-san chair. I had actually done it before but didn't like it.. which I don't understand now, I think my mechanism had cracked. Anyway, here is the cropped version with minimal touch-up and in the original color. Wonderful lighting.
Her posistion is interesting. It's not quite fetal, but close to it.
I would not call this porn, even though it is very erotic. The woman is very beautiful.
This is elegantly done.

Taste is the keyword here. Some ppl may call this porn but I call it exotic and artful.
The lighting is superb. It really rises the color of her skin.

I realize that everybody except for the first commenter is saying they like the piece and that the picture isn't porn, and I appreciate that, but I don't understand why the issue would even come up? It's a nude girl... no sex involved. And the model and myself were both trying very hard to make some beautiful images. Does every single picture of a nude person (in color, the b/w doesn't seem to have the same effect) elicit the 'is it porn discussion?' Sit down man, find your neutral space... heehee

The reason it looks like porn is that the lighting is too stark and the general feel too risque. Toning things down a bit with lighting or better composition instead of relying on the inherent interest of subject matter could easily fix it. But then again if this is what you went for then I guess you succeeded.

Well, I'm sorry, but the first thing that popped into my head was not porn. This is a beautiful photo. Wonderful warm tones. Makes the viewer feel comfortable. The model seems comfortable too, and that makes the photo that much better. I like this very much. I wish the porn debate didn't come up in this photo. It comes from small minded people.

Wow... Thats a nice shot. Love the lighting effects. The models posture connotes some fluidity of form to me that is surreal. Really nice stuff.
